Prepare yourself to participate in the nation’s largest LGBT Career Fair on April 15, 2015 at the Center. Our LGBT Career Fair is unlike other recruitment events! We showcase leading Bay Area employers dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The event will also provide LGBT and allied job seekers the opportunity to network and learn about a wide range of opportunities and careers.

This event attracts all levels of qualified job seekers, including those with backgrounds and qualifications in technology, administration, financial services, sales and marketing, management, retail and hospitality, and much more!

Tailored resumes and professional attire is recommended for the event. In order to prepare and get the most out of the event, we encouraged you to meet with our Employment Services staff and attend our preparatory workshops and events.

The Center’s LGBT Employment Services Programs offers a range of services, events, and workshops tailored to help you get back to work and connected to further training. Including one-on-one job search support, vocational case management, professional mentoring, life skills training, skill building workshops, resume review, interview practice, job leads, access to LGBT friendly employers, LGBT Career Fairs, and referrals to community resources & vocational training programs. Every Wednesday and Friday, Beginning April 8, 2015 – Including our LGBTQ Career Fair on April 15th, 2015.

Work It! is a free life skills, leadership, & employment certificate program for Trans*, Gender Non-conforming, and Gender Diverse folks!

It is time to Work It! with TEEI for a free 3 week interactive peer lead program designed to support you in reaching your life, work, and/or self-employment goals. This life skills employment certificate program provides information on how to set yourself up to succeed, and attain the skills that will help you thrive in the workplace, school, and beyond.

The Work It! series is a partnership with the SF LGBT Center, TEEI, and Trans: THRIVE. The series is lead by professional peer Employment Specialists at the Center/TEEI and co-hosted by TRANS:THRIVE/ API Wellness Center.

Incentives: Certificate of Completion, free lunches, leadership development and an opportunity to Earn free Gift Cards will be provided throughout the series.

Classes start on Wed. April 8th and occur Every Wednesday & Friday for 3 weeks from 10am to 2pm; class dates are 4/8, 4/10, 4/15, 4/17, 4/22, & 4/24.

Location: San Francisco LGBTQ Center. This building is accessible by Muni lines: F, 71, 6 and is only 3 blocks from the Van Ness station.

Space is limited for the series! Registration is requested. You can also sign up at our weekly Trans Job Club Drop-In which every Friday from 3-4PM at TRANS: THRIVE, 730 Polk Street, SF, 4th Floor.

We are a diverse community and this class is open to all *trans, transgender identified and gender non-conforming applicants.* (Attendees from the prior Work-It! series will be considered if space is available.)
