Edgar’s Gift Releases ‘the 29 Rock You Cancer’ Indie Rock Compilation CD

This escalated very quickly into something a lot bigger than we anticipated and eventually 29 bands donated tracks including 3 from the USA, 1 from Canada and another in France. We lost our son Ben 4 years ago to cancer when he was only 25 and the Edgar’s Gift charity was formed in his memory. Ben would have been 29 this year, so it made sense to have that many songs on the album.

All 29 bands gave their tracks for free and Gareth Henderson from River Studios in Southampton mastered them all free of charge which was a fantastic gesture. All the artwork was done by friend of the charity Katie Fairfield, again free of charge. The Edgar’s Gift charity CD itself was produced by Torch Music who generously waived postage and charged us a reduced fee for making the Edgar’s Gift charity CD.

We are grateful to all of the above and we must also say a special thank you to another of our supporters Dawn Green who’s help and knowledge in putting this Edgar’s Gift charity CD together was invaluable.

The Edgar’s Gift charity CD is a double album and is now available for £10 and 100% of the money raised from sales will go to providing wishes and gifts for young adults aged 18 to 30 who suffer with cancer. It is also available from all the major download sites iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and amazon.co.uk.

As well selling copies in the UK, the Edgar’s Gift CD has already had sales in USA, Canada, Austria, Germany and Japan, so the appeal of the bands is growing.
