Gay Marriage Legalized in England

Wednesday morning, Queen Elizabeth II legalized gay marriage in England and Wales. Expect the first gay weddings next summer.

Anti-Gay Bullying Suicide

A gay teen in New Mexico is the latest to commit suicide, after suffering from anti-gay bullying. 17-year-old Carlos Vigil posted a heart-breaking suicide note on his Twitter account just before he took his life.

“I think it’s a good reminder that there are a lot of other issues, besides marriage, facing the gay community, and a lot of these issues are going to persist,” said John Wright, senior editor of the Dallas Voice.

A new study by GLSEN shows LGBT youth experience three times as much online bullying as non-LGBT youth.

Re-Defining Marriage

An anonymous group of artists in San Francisco is working to change the definition of marriage … literally.

Many major dictionaries define marriage as being between a man and woman. Supporters of Hack Marriage are going around to stores and covering up that definition with a new definition. The stickers say marriage is “the formal union of two people by which they become partners for life.”
