WHO:              Panelists include Dan Bucatinsky (Emmy® winner for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series, “Scandal”), Paul Colichman (CEO of Here Media), Laverne Cox (“Orange is the New Black”), Wilson Cruz (Actor and GLAAD’s National Spokesperson), Christy Dees (VP Development, Bravo Networks), Andrew Rannells (“Girls,” “The New Normal”), Sherri Saum (“The Fosters”) and Amber Tamblyn (“Two and a Half Men”), along with the author of The Prime Time Closet: A History of Gays and Lesbians on TV and moderator for the evening, Stephen Tropiano.

WHAT:           The Television Academy presents “10 Years After “The Prime Time Closet – A History of Gays and Lesbians on TV.”” The focus of the evening is to celebrate the monumental strides the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Identified Community has achieved since the publication of historian Stephen Tropiano’s 2002 book, The Prime Time Closet: A History of Gays and Lesbians on TV.

The event will be produced by Diversity Committee Chair and Children’s Programming Peer Group Governor Daniel Evans III and Diversity Committee Member and Casting Directors Peer Group Governor Howard Meltzer.
