The 20-year-old Sam Strike talked today about his emotional storyline on the BBC’s flagship soap, EastEnders saying he was ‘really nervous the night it aired.’
The actor was nervous because he wanted to do the scene justice and for it to be convincing for the people who ‘have been there and done it.’
He went on to say: ‘It was a real proving ground for me, because it was the first time I actually had to do any proper drama acting.’
Sam also talks about his celebrity doppelganger Connor Maynard – and hopes he isn’t offended by the suggestion that the two look similar
The video is now available on the BBC website.
A number of vile and disturbing tweets happened the night that Johnny Carter kissed Danny Pennant (Gary Lucy). Danny Dyer, who plays Sam Strike’s father in the soap was quick off the mark to tell homophobes where to put their opinions.
