Sam Strike who plays openly gay Johnny Carter in the hit BBC Soap, recently spoke about the scene in which he came out to his onscreen Dad, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) saying that he was ‘really nervous the night it aired.’
The actor was nervous because he wanted to do the scene justice and for it to be convincing for the people who ‘have been there and done it.’
He went on to say: ‘It was a real proving ground for me, because it was the first time I actually had to do any proper drama acting.’
