Based on the best selling novel by Rosalie Hain, it’s the story of a woman who returns home to the remote country village in Australia, which she fled as a child after being accused of murder, as she now wants to make amends with her eccentric mother.
Although initially ostracised by the local community she soon has these women in the Outback dressed in the most stunning 1950’s couture inspired by Madame Vioneet and Balenciaga which goes along way to liberate these women and empower them. And to say makes them look stunning too. Plus along the way she falls in love.
Also starring Oscar nominated Judy Davis, and Isla Fisher plus hunky Liam Hensworth (from The Hunger Games). Directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse (Proof) and with costumes by Tim Chappel who won an Oscar for his stunning work on Priscilla Queen Of The Desert.
This is one movie we at TheGayUK cannot wait to see, and we will keep you posted when it’s ready to hit out screens.
