The bill would have allowed business owners, who cite religious beliefs to refuse service to LGBT people.
Ms Brewer said the law could have had "unintended and negative consequences".
By vetoing the bill Ms. Brewer has sided with big corporates including Apple and American Airlines who fully backed the veto.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday afternoon, Ms Brewer, who is a Republican, said the bill did 'not address a specific or present concern related to religious liberty in Arizona'.
'I have not heard one example in Arizona where a business owner's religious liberty has been violated,'
