CASTING CALL: Are You The Next Danny La Rue

<p>Looking for a new, glamorous Drag Artiste to follow in the footsteps of the late Danny La Rue, we are looking for a fabulous performer who is quick witted, very sexy, can sing well and has a wardrobe to die for.</p> <p>Open auditions on Saturday the 8th March for talented emerging drag artists to develop their act, and give back to the community.</p> <p>25th Feb 2014</p><p> </p><p><img src="http://www.thegayuk.com/communities/8/004/009/928/388/images/4606402695.png" width="460" height="276" alt="Danny La Rue" title="Danny La Rue"/></p> <p></p><p>Esteemed theatre producer and impresario, Simon Gross, is seeking the next generation of outstanding drag performers to perform the opening number/s of a new musical variety show that will be piloted for a community based audience in Surrey on March the 14th. </p><p></p><p>Simon Gross runs SG Productions, who brought you such shows as Snow White and the Seven Poofs/Sindefella Leicester Square Theatre and Drag Divas Arts Theatre London.</p><p></p><p>Whether it’s a West End stage or a Village Hall, Simon Gross is determined to make every show incredible. The winning auditionee will perform a number or two for a show at a community function, with the prospects of developing the show into a national tour. This is a fantastic opportunity to boost your drag career!</p><p></p><p>Open auditions will take place on:</p><p></p><p>Date: Saturday 8th March</p><p>Time: Registration 12 midday. Please be available for the whole day.</p><p>Location: The Green Carnation, Greek Street, London, W1D 4DD. Nearest tube Tottenham Court Road.</p><p>Call backs will be held on Sunday 9th March if you are successful.</p><p></p><p>Please prepare one song of your own choice with sheet music/CD.
