Ask yourself a question; is beauty a matter of stern, inflexible fact – the scientific reality revealed by a mirror – or is is merely a matter of self-deception?

Both views have their plus and down points. A naked exposure to physical truth, via a dispassionate, full-length photo, can be inhibitingly traumatic, to the point one shies away in horror from even attempting bodily self-improvement. Conversely, one might be positively spurred to force unwanted, unshapely flesh into submission, with the fanaticism of a boot-camp commandant.
Equally, self-deception – which usually manifests, psychologically, as extreme narcissism or self-hatred – can make a Freddie Kruger imagine he's Rock Hudson, or vice versa.
And this comundrum becomes even more problematic in a sexual scene where physical preening – and prowess, whether gym-built or steroidal – is inextricably linked with gay social intimacy. Far more than women, men, historically speaking, have always been the peacock of the species, a blatant confirmation of their visually triggered sex-drive.
Quite simply, then, if a gay man sees something he likes – muscular symmetry, apparently youthful health, and masterful and/or available body language – he'll swoop like a bird of prey on poppers.
And never more so than now, the second decade of the twenty-first century. As ragingly popular with women as ever, and increasing number of men, the appliance of precise science – as in micro-sculpted implants – virtually guarantees a miraculous that bloody, hit-or-miss surgery on its' own rarely delivers.
And of course with men, we're dealing with a broad consensus of which masculine qualities both are and make one feel desirable. It's no surprise, then that Olympic aspirations – as in the legendary bodies of Greek Gods as reimagined by the statues of Michalangelo – tick the top of gay men's physical box. A longing for divinely etched six-packs mirrors that even more elusive Holy Grail – perfect pectoral muscles.
Now, unbelievably, the majority of pectoral implants to date have been achieved using clumsily-modified female breast implants, which has obviously produced very poor results overall.
Granted, it's never easy being a girl – women are simply swamped with cosmetic surgery options. Worse still, those options usually come with sharp, often unscrupulous business practices and mediocre surgical expertise.
Mercifully, male cosmetic surgery is much more straightforward – and safer, especially in the hands of renowned, aesthetic cosmetic surgeon Dr. Gary Horn. With two practices running in Paris and London, Dr. Horn's intensive, Parisian training has always stressed one crucial element often ignored by slipshod, British companies; the final look, the harmonious and pleasing aesthetics of a procedure.
So, if you're considering one or more procedures, it makes complete sense to choose a surgeon who offers complete personal, business and surgical expertise throughout. And with the recent, huge rise in demand for male, cosmetic procedures, finding a surgeon you can trust and feel competently secure with has become more important than ever.
So, what reasons might prompt you to seek elective, cosmetic surgery? Evolutionary psychology has conclusively established that, in terms of personal attractiveness, the most successful individuals are those with pleasing body symmetry.
After all, no matter how much gym-time or bodily regime dedication one has, it's widely known that certain bodily areas stubbornly resist any exercise regime, with surgery offering a more direct solution.
For example, congenital deformities – like an extremely concave chest – can easily be resolved with implants. However, the human body in uniquely expressed in every individual's physique, which is why Dr. Horn's implants excel; they' ve been precisely manufactured to mimic the body's natural biology as closely as possible, with optimum scoring in both hydro-and aero-dynamic ease of movement, presenting as little resistance to power-walking against a wind or vigorous swimming as actual flesh does.
Patented by Dr. Horn to ensure rigorous protection of his standards, and not allow sub-standard counterfeits to enter the market.
And for the average, gay man who'd prefer to avoid the often disastrous effects of illegal steroid abuse, implants can be an ideal answer.
It's not surprising; well-defined pectoral, gluteus and calf muscles all instantly project strong impressions of youth, health, vitality and attractiveness. Just consider an average, swimming-pool, beach or gym scenario, or even looking at your own physique in a mirror; would you find saggy body parts, with all their associations of premature age and declining health, more appealing than pert, youthful contours?
Which is precisely why gluteal implants, along with pectoral and/or calf implants, can contribute so powerfully to a greater sense of well-being and personal confidence.Technically, it's called feeling 'socio-dynamic' – a psychological empowerment term drawn from both aero- and hydro- dynamics, describing an object's ultimate ease of movement in those elements. And doesn't that term, 'socio-dynamic', precisely capture the confident ease of sexual desirability an attractive body imparts? After all, statistically, nearly sixty percent of gay men are unhappy with their body shapes, and nearly seventy percent have tried, but failed, to maintain weight-loss diets. Tie that to an admission from nearly 33% of men surveyed that they'd consider plastic surgery, which ironically mirrors the 33% who feel they exercise too little, and the staggering 44% who've considered stomach surgery as a direct result of that inactivity, and the argument for an instant, swivel-chair becomes very persuasive.
With contours based on the ancient, Classical Greek ideals of the Golden Mean – or radiant symmetry – virtually any muscle shape or problem can be radically improved with instant redefinition worthy of an athlete.
Forget shape or support wear; modern implants, particularly those designed by Dr. Horn, apply the optimum, biodynamic contours and ergonomics translated from extensive study of muscle functions in nature.
But of course, no surgical procedure is as quick, pain-free and with zero recovery time as major cosmetic surgery companies would prefer you to assume.
In line with his complete professionalism, Dr. Horn will first arrange an interview, complete with taking a medical history and extensive discussion of the surgery and expected, average recovery times.
Normally, with regard to gluteal implants, you'll spend up to three days in hospital, with a full recovery time of four to six weeks. And before surgery, of course, Dr. Horn will discuss the size, texture, shape and post-surgical, physical projection of the implants you choose, as well as extensive aftercare and activities to avoid in the short-term for best results.
Furthermore, you'll also discuss your implants' most effective placement options, whether sub-muscular, intramuscular or sub-fascial, and which procedure will produce the least prominent and/or most lengthy or shortest scars.
All in all, Dr. Horn is thoroughly committed to delivering the finest, possible care at every stage of your procedure, from first consultation to post-operative care. That, after all, is what the best aesthetic surgeons always strive for – excellence in every step of a patient's treatment, not discount treatments with no concerns whatever for post-surgery traumas or patient distress.
So why risk budgeting when enhancing yourself to the highest degree? Call Dr. Horn in the first instance for a consultation – he marries the excellence of French, cultural artistry to the most cutting-edge finesse of cosmetic science.
