In the previous term of Fritz Kuhn coincide with the orientation of a dialogue day for rainbow families in the town hall (July 2014) and the positioning of the city as a tolerant employer important projects in terms of equality, visibility and acceptance. Stuttgart directed one of the largest employers in the region his work under the diversity aspect explicitly in the interests of LSBTTIQ-people. This culminated last year in the first-time participation of an official Fußgruppe with numerous mitmarschierenden employees of the state capital at the CSD-political parade . For LSBTTIQ-concerns itself also a regular daily Direction Working Group has been established under the leadership of the municipal Department of equal opportunities, in its environment, among others, the online offer on the website www.stuttgart.de/lsbttiq was supplemented by important equality issues.
Also in the daily collaboration with the local council, the city administration and the authorities in the field of organization of the CSD festivals we come as a team of volunteers to open doors and find great support. Externally visible urban engagement, for example, by now quite obvious rainbow flagging for CSD at the Stuttgart City Hall, the opening of the large meeting room for the reception of CSD association or through the provision of City Light billboards within the city limits.
This year’s patronage of the Lord Mayor of Stuttgart must be construed as a thank you to all those involved in urban policies and management.
