COMIC RELIEF SET FOR 25TH YEAR

From former Prime Minister Tony Blair in 2007, uttering the words that everyone thought were missing from his day job manifesto, ‘Am I Bovvered?’, to Rowan Atkinson Beaning around. </p> <p></p> <p> </p> <p><img src="http://www.thegayuk.com/communities/8/004/009/928/388/images/4588897230.jpg" width="460" height="306" alt="Union J - Red Nose Day 2013" title="Union J - Red Nose Day 2013"/></p> <p></p> <p>Founded in 1985 by Richard Curtis and Lenny Henry as a charity to help famine in Ethiopia, it has grown every two years to take an average of £60 million for good causes. I do love a good show as long as there are no soap stars dancing to country and western music or the irony of people raising money by sitting in bath tubs of beans when the food would have been better sent out to places who don’t have food. Still all in all a good night is usually had. Like our favoured Eurovision it can be hit and miss, but the highs are usually worth the wait. </p> <p></p> <p>This year hosts include David Walliams, Zoe Ball, Michael McIntyre, Alan Carr, Dermot O’Leary, Lenny Henry and many more.
