Christopher Street Day – The motto of the CSD 2014: “ACCEPTANCE NOW!”

Was at the general meeting of the CSD Magdeburg eV at 1.3. among other things, the motto of the CSD Magdeburg in 2014 decided. The two words are – short and sweet – demonstrate what we actually demand for granted for a long time.

“ACCEPTANCE” weighs more than tolerance. We want to be accepted without compromise as we are LGBTI * and how we live. The exclamation point behind acceptance represents an affirmation of this claim.

The word “NOW!” Stands for immediately. Discrimination of any kind is unacceptable for us. Acceptance we always want to see established as a matter of course in our society. We LGBTI * do not want to put off any longer. With “NOW,” we give the call for “ACCEPTANCE” emphasis.

CSD Street Festival for the first time in front of the City Hall in the Old Market

For the first time in the history of the Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Saxony-Anhalt’s state capital is on 16 August 2014, the CSD Parade on the acceptance of gays and lesbians and people with different sexual identities end right at Magdeburg city hall, because right after is here the les-bi-gay CSD Street Festival will find a new venue at the Old Market. On lively market bustle of the city, the CSD becomes the active part of life, right next to one of the landmarks of the city: The Magdeburg Rider before and decorated with the rainbow flag on the town hall.

“For the implementation of the CSD on the Old Market at City Hall, we have received a firm commitment.
