The IT Manager is an integral part of our small IT team supporting cutting-edge software/hardware systems and service platforms. We are seeking a IT Manager to work with the company’s IT Director and Vice-President, Operations to implement and deliver enterprise class IT solutions. The selected individual will oversee daily IT support and operations and provide key input on the choice of technology resources required to address business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of IT Infrastructure, Application Service Level Agreements and Service Providers
- Develops procedures for and manages escalation of service requests and problems related to applications support
- Guarantees end users accessibility to all required application resources according to agreed upon standards
- Ensures the efficiency, stability, security and accessibility of all supported IT applications to all supported users
- Develops information security requirements in context of business needs, which includes working with internal customers from the business and development sides to implement access controls, data integrity, confidentiality, and security compliance controls
- Serve as the information resource for client users; including determination of the most appropriate data source and educating users on how to retrieve and manage information themselves.
- Implement DR and redundancy
- Analyze and troubleshoot service platforms, LAN/WAN and provider connections using a variety of monitoring tools
- Monitor incident tracking system to ensure resolution of all incidents and/or escalation to appropriate resources in a timely manner
- Maintain an accurate inventory of technology assets
- Review Security Logs, research and escalate concerns and issues
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years experience with 3-5 years in an IT Management role
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange (2003, 2007, 2010, Online) Administration and Configuration
- Experience with Microsoft Lync or Communicator a plus
- Thorough understanding of Active Directory and Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2008 R2) Administration and Configuration
- Experience with SQL Server (Infrastructure Management, not DBA)
- Experience with Enterprise Virtualization; VMWare or Hyper-V
- Knowledge of Cloud based Infrastructure, IaaS and SaaS via AWS, Azure or Office365 experience a plus
- Experience managing office networks in a diverse desktop client environment (Mac/Windows/Linux) and additionally capable of assisting with support in multiple sites
- Advanced TCP/IP and LAN/WAN troubleshooting ability
- Proven ability in producing and documenting configurations and policies
- Work with remote access technologies such as Citrix, RDP, LogMeIn, etc.
- Proficient with e-mail hygiene platforms like Forefront Online Protection for Exchange (FOPE), Postini, & AppRiver
- Hands on manager with a passion and do what it takes approach to getting the job done
- Highly collaborative and customer service oriented
- Flexibility for occasional travel and ability to relocate computer equipment (PCs, printers, etc) as required
