Since the age of 3, James has taken to the stage whenever the opportunity presents itself singing and dancing his way through many local talent shows in his locality of Grimsby, to national level on BBC One’s The Saturday show in 2003.
From his early interests in performing, he continued to study dance and performing arts at the Grimsby Institute after leaving school.
By the age of 17, James undertook a season of performing in Cornwall, followed by a year at Coastfields, Skegness where he trod the boards in a variety of production shows. The following year James was lucky enough to be spotted by Bourne Leisure which gave him the opportunity to work at Butlins Resort Minehead. Here James’ wealth of talents were put to use, regularly performing in front of thousands of guests, showcasing a wide range of shows each week of his 2 year residence at the resort. During this time James stared alongside acts such as The Saturdays, the Sugababes as well as previous X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent contestants.
