(GayWebSource.com) SEATTLE – For the first time, The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction, Foundation for Sex Positive Culture, Pride Foundation, and Tor Project are joining forces, at Sexuality 2012: Research Activism, and Social Change, a three-course dinner and panel discussion held Thursday, September 27, 2012, 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with these illustrious organizations,” says Allena Gabosch, one of the featured speakers and Executive Director of the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture. “This is a historical, groundbreaking moment.”
These four nonprofits employ diverse strategies that are transforming the landscape of sexuality, behavioral science, and personal freedom, from engaging in major scientific research, to offering educational opportunities, to funding essential programs, to fighting for privacy and freedom online, to celebrating sexuality through erotic art, and more.
“This is a unique chance to learn what is being done to advance social attitudes and sexual freedom, and how everyone can be part of transforming our world,” says Gabosch.
Each speaker brings a unique perspective on how we can advance sex positive culture, together. Distinguished speakers include Dr. Julia R. Heiman, Director, The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction; Allena Gabosch, Executive Director, Foundation for Sex Positive Culture; Jeff Hedgepeth, Director of Grants Programming, Pride Foundation; Jacob Appelbaum, Social Privacy/Anonymity Activist and Developer, Tor Project; and Clayton Hibbert (Moderator), Director, Seattle Erotic Art Festival.
Attendees will enjoy a gourmet three-course dinner and drinks prepared and served by Apulent Catering, followed by the panel discussion: “Sexuality 2012: Research, Activism, and Social Change”. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and participate in the conversation during the concluding dialogue.
