After years as a secret songwriter Kaz left her Mama Kaz Band to pursue her solo song writing career. Better Days is the first official release as a solo artist and is of a different style usually associated with her music.
One of the biggest female singers to come out of Northern Ireland, Kaz has supported Van Morrison, Nanci Griffith, Chris Farlowe, Matt Andersen & has been personally invited on stage by many international artists, most recently with Irish Rocker “The Professor” Pat McManus (Mamas Boys, Ireland) where Kaz sang a version of Pat’s “Lonely Soul” on stage with him at his 25th anniversary party at Belfast’s Empire Music Hall.
Better Days is a stripped down piano based 4 track EP. Introducing Robb Montgomery, at only 19 years of age Robb uses his talent on keys to bring an innocent and pure sound to Better Days. Kaz wants to invite listeners in a little closer so that they will enjoy her openness, honesty and her maturity as a songwriter with a more intimate side to her vocal. As before Kaz uses the different experiences in her life to write, in the hope that someone will gain strength from her music. This Ep is a special edition as Kaz will return to her big sound in 2014 with the release of her debut album..
Kaz has been added to mscgluk – UK & IE Spotify playlist.
