Misterbnb offers gay and gay-friendly travelers a unique service that allows them to experience travel in a new way and to discover popular gay destinations at lower costs, with people just like them. 

For three years, the market for short-term apartment rentals between individuals has drastically increased internationally with the launch of websites like AirBnB, HouseTrip or Sejourning. But until now, it was impossible for gay travelers to feel secure and welcomed, without prejudice, by their future hosts.  ”Having had experience renting apartments to individuals I quickly realized the limitations of apartment rental sites. I could sometimes notice how apartment owners felt uncomfortable with me staying with my boyfriend, and it made us feel uncomfortable too. This is why I had the idea to create an apartment rental website specifically tailored for the gay community, where anyone can be accommodated in the best conditions possible”.

misterbnb is the first short-term apartment rental website in the world dedicated to a community of gay and gay-friendly travelers to provide insurance to its users.  Although the site is primarily aimed at a gay target, misterbnb is also open to all travelers and open-minded owners. We believe in promoting friendliness and tranquility among the misterbnb community. Access to warm and welcoming environments in the hearts of international gay cities will soon be open to all.

It connects travelers who want to live a unique experience at lower costs and renters ready to open their primary residences, fully or partially, while generating additional revenue.  Hosts enroll their apartments for free. Future tenants can choose what suits them.

misterbnb and EuropAssistance have teamed up to offer a multi-risk insurance to reassure its users in case of incidents during their rental period (damage and breakage, fraud, etc.)

A famous model as misterbnb ambassador: Johan Akan

Famous French top model Johan Akan will be the misterbnb brand ambassador. He will be the face of misterbnb worldwide. In 2010, Akan graced the cover of TETU magazine where he was photographed with actress Catherine Deneuve. Just weeks after he finished his shooting, he secured a huge print advertisement for Nivea.

misterbnb was founded in 2013 after the meeting of two well-established start-ups:  myGayTrip.com, international gay travel guide, and Sejourning.com, apartments with private insurance. As partners in misterbnb, the founders of these start-ups want to provide tailored options to a large sector of consumers in a market that is already highly competitive.
