Leeds Pride – We are delighted to officially launch Leeds Pride 2015, this will be the 9th year the annual celebration of diversity & acceptance has taken place in Leeds. Last year saw a record turn out with over 30,000 people attending during the day. Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.
Leeds Pride 2015
Over the past 4 years, Leeds Pride has evolved to become the biggest annual one day festival in the City Centre. This undoubtedly makes a huge contribution to the local economy with thousands of people choosing to visit the City on Leeds Pride weekend. Last year, on the evening before pride – every hotel in the City Centre was fully booked.
The live shows have featured acts such as Gareth Gates, Joe McElderry, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Kimberly Wyatt (Pussy Cat Dolls), Katrina (of Katrina & The Waves, Martha Wash (Weather Girls) & Stooshe.
By far the biggest achievement & something to be very proud of, is that Leeds Pride remains community driven and completely free to attend on the day. We want it to stay that way which is why fund raising & attracting new sponsorships is vitally important.
We extend a big thank you to all of those who work hard to support & promote Leeds Pride every year.
This year, we have a brand new website with lots of new content & interaction. We hope you enjoy the new look and find it easy to find all the information you need. Along with a new website, we decided to no longer theme Leeds Pride – instead we are introducing a slogan that represents our core value & message. “Your City, Your Pride”
We are please to announce that British singer/songwriter Ray Quinn will be one of our special guests on this years Parade Stage at Millennium Square.
Ray is known for wowing the public with his boundless talent for singing, dancing, acting and pretty much everything in between. Ray has featured prominently in the press and media after being in the X Factor finals, winning ITV’s Dancing on Ice and winning ITV’s Get Your Act Together.
