Our bodies, our choice!

On Saturday, June 14, 2014 will be the 19th running Pride Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans Rhône-Alpes with the slogan: “Rights of trans LDCs, abortion, GPA, prostitution: our bodies, our choice.” With this slogan, the Lesbian and Gay Pride Lyon intends to reaffirm forcefully in public space, its values, the essence of his life and his struggle.

“Our bodies, our choice”, the alpha and omega of LGBT claims.

Since its inception, the Lesbian and Gay Pride Lyon campaigns and works to ensure that all women and all men can control their bodies and their sexuality freely. Also, we defend the right to abortion and sex education. We denounce and combat all forms of violence. We fight against all forms of discrimination and stigmatization.

The Lesbian and Gay Pride Lyon is always committed to respect the right of everyone to have his body as a transition path for trans , for access to abortion , and for that the Medically Assisted Procreation and surrogacy or to the rights of sex workers to engage in sexual activities priced without the law stigmatizes the precarious or endanger.

The right to dispose of her body is more than ever

The Lesbian and Gay Pride firmly denounces the rise of conservatism in Europe, threatening progressive advanced women’s rights and LGBT. As new steps have been taken since last year with the opening of marriage and adoption to same-sex couples, we are now witnessing more than ever an outcry reactionary, nourished by moral and harmful ideology. This historic breakthrough has raised the alarm and the outburst of conservative forces LGBTphobes and sexist. Unleashed which is then amplified in 2014 during the various debates concerning the right of LGBT and women to control their bodies and their lives (and Zuber report Estrela report to European Parliament, bill strengthening the fight against the prostitution system amendment and the right to abortion in the National Assembly).

The union of all the progressive forces is now capital.

Far ideological cleavages, our association highlights the urgency of concentrating solely on the fundamental right to freely dispose of his body without government coercion, political, legal, pragmatic, moral or religious.

The Lesbian and Gay Pride Lyon is an association that sets out to:

• organize every year in Lyon walking Pride Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans walking visibility collecting lesbians, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, their families and all those who support the objective of the association to promote equality and respect among all citizens;

• fight against discrimination related to morals, sexual orientation and gender identity in the context of struggles and ethics related to the promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms. To this end, it regularly implement a social policy action program, and cultural support for its action in the medium and long term;

• intervene publicly to defend the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual and transgender;

• to support and defend the victims of abuse and discrimination because of their sexual orientation, real or perceived, of their gender identity or their health by providing them all necessary help: psychological, moral or legal ;

• promote exchanges between associations sharing the previous objetctifs, develop inter-community projects and develop common strategies;

• undertake an economic activity related to the promotion of social spaces for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender or near this sensitivity. This activity is, however, not for profit but participates in the financing of projects supported by the association;
