Esta mañana el pleno del Ayuntamiento de Madrid ha aprobado la iniciativa de la FELGTB que el PSM ha trasladado en forma de proposición, y que también recoge la instalación de un monumento “que recuerde a las personas LGTB que, a lo largo de los siglos, han sido perseguidas por su orientación sexual y su identidad de género”.

La proposición ha salido adelante con el respaldo del PSM, Ahora Madrid y Ciudadanos y ha recibido el voto en contra del Partido Popular.

Asimismo FELGTB y Arcópoli han hecho entrega al equipo de gobierno de la capital de las 84.870 firmas que se sumaron a la petición en la plataforma Change.org solicitando al Ayuntamiento este cambio en el callejero.

“La Plaza Pedro Zerolo es un homenaje justo a un activista que ha luchado porque esta ciudad y este país sean más respetuosos con la diversidad y más libres, sean lugares mejores. Madrid se merece esta plaza y Pedro se merece este Madrid”, ha afirmado Boti G. Rodrigo, vocal de FELGTB.
