Lee Lynch – The Amazon Trail

Lee Lynch has been writing as an out lesbian since her work appeared in “The Ladder” in the 1960s. Her column, “The Amazon Trail” has been running in periodicals and on line since 1986. She wrote the classic novels The Swashbuckler and Toothpick House and has published 15 books. Her newest novel, The Raid, will be released by Bold Strokes Books in October. Sweet Creek and Beggar of Love were also recently published by Bold Strokes Books which also offers her backlist in e-book format. Her short stories can be found in Romantic Interludes, at http://www.readtheselips.com and in many other anthologies. Her reviews and feature articles have appeared in, among others, “The Lambda Book Report,” “The Advocate” and “The San Francisco Chronicle.”
Lynch’s syndicated column, “The Amazon Trail,” has run nationally since 1986. She is the namesake and first recipient of the Lee Lynch Classic Award, for The Swashbuckler; a recipient of the Golden Crown Literary Society Trailblazer Award; the Alice B. Reader Award for Lesbian Fiction; and was honored with induction into the Saints and Sinners Literary Hall of Fame in 2006. In 2010 she received the James Duggins Mid-Career Award in Writing, and, for Beggar of Love, the Lesbian Fiction Readers Choice Award, the Ann Bannon Popular Choice Award, and a Book of the Year Award from ForeWord Reviews.
