| My Bio: | Finding herself actively posting daily musings of LGBTQ pride on Facebook, those around her encouraged her to share her thoughts and activities in a separate space even if just for a small audience. Hence, “mypride.me” was born. A place to share and celebrate all things pride worldwide. For those seeking a more formal bio: Elizabeth Willis holds an A.B. in Russian Literature and Philosophy from Smith College, as well as an M.S.Ed. in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. She is an MBA candidate at the University of Phoenix graduating in January 2014. Currently she is writing the outline for an upcoming documentary film Hope about LGBTQ teen bullying. She has been a voting member of the Recording Academy for The Grammys since 2010. Liz’s father Rudolph Willis was a research associate in Dr. Robert Gallo’s lab where the AIDS virus was co-discovered. She is a public figure and advocate for Global HIV/AIDS, LGBTQ Teen Bullying, Marriage Equality, Trans Equality and Workplace Equality. |
