Thirteen made it to the top of charts, however a few have narrowly missed the top spot. It was a cover version of The Beatles song "Help!", and was released on the London Records label, entering the UK Singles Chart on 25 February 1989 and reaching a high of #3. It reached number 6 in May. The single debuted at #2 in Australia, which was also the highest peak position ever for them in Australia. It reached the number 1 slot. Interestingly the song had been released twice before the Comic Relief version, once by The Judds and once as a charity single in aid of Save The Children, it reached only number 57 in Official Singles Chart. We hoped for cat fights and heels embedded in foreheads however the result was a catchy revamp of an old Aerosmith track. Girls Aloud and Sugababes achieved number 1 status. The song obviously achieved number 1 status thanks to the band’s legions of fans.
