By Newsdesk | 22nd April 2013
The G-A-Y entrepreneur has posted a picture of his fourth London Marathon Medal on Instagram, saying: ‘4 consecutive London Marathon Medals, def [sic] going to attempt to make it 5’
Joseph, 45, completed the near 27 mile course in 4 hours and 21 minutes. He ran in aid of the Elton John Aids Foundation (EJAF).
This year’s marathon was London’s 33rd and over 34,000 people participated.
Joseph and the G-A-Y team have raised £199,818 for the Elton John Aids Foundation, via the JustGiving website. The target is £250.000
Anne Aslett, the Executive Director for the EJAF said: ‘We’re so thrilled and grateful for Jeremy’s support.
‘Huge congratulations to Jeremy Joseph for his achievement on Sunday’s marathon. Jeremy’s commitment to the work of the Foundation, not only in raising almost £200,000 for our work, but in consistently stressing the need for people to practice safe sex and to know their status, is incredibly important. It’s only by preventing new HIV infections, and making sure that those who need it can access antiretroviral treatment, that we will get to an AIDS free future. Jeremy is making an amazing contribution to that vision. Elton and all at the Foundation thank him and wish him a lazy week ahead!’
