LONDON'S SUMMER CLUBS & NIGHTS:
01: HOT 2 TROT - Every Sunday Night from 11pm - 6am at Club Aquarium, Old Street London, EC1
Something brand new and fresh in the East End! At the incredible Club Aquarium in Old Street which boasts 3 rooms of music plus a swimming pool and even a Jacuzzi! This mew party is really making some large waves across London every Sunday night as London club heads look for an underground alternative to Vauxhall! It's first few weeks have gone incredibly well with a music savvy cool crowd who have been waiting for something different for too long! With the music directed by resident Pagano and special guests including Tom Stephan and Smokin' Jo - you can see the appeal!
02: EAST BLOC - East London's busiest weekend club has been breaking new ground for the past 3 years and built up one of London's coolest reputations as a must stop weekend drop off for disconcerting club heads who love their music and like to be ahead of the pack.
03:EGG LDN - Laurence Malice's ground breaking King's Cross club has been in business for over a decade and welcomes on a regular basis some of the underground House music scene's biggest international players! From House pioneers DJ Sneak and DJ Pierre to Christian Smith, Felix De Housecat and local legends Layo & Bushwacka there is also something innovative and unique going on at this amazing venue which is hugely popular in the Summer especially with it's incredible garden and terrace right in the middle of London - nowhere else is like it!
04: WRONG! - Every Saturday Morning from 2:30am - 1pm at UNION, Albert Embankment, Vauxhall SE1
Vauxhall has seen many changes in recent years and one of the enlightening new kids on the block to make a difference is WRONG! It prides itself on "No Commercial / No Pop / Just Quality Underground Tech & House Music" from a selection of the towns new players and leading lights. An incredible up for it crowd of regulars have religiously returned week in week out over the past few years and keep it on top in Vauxhall every weekend as Saturday mornings busiest afterhours! Always worth a visit gets particularly busy in the Summer time!
LONDON'S SUMMER BARS:
01: The Eagle - Vauxhall SW8
One of Vauxhall's most popular establishments that hosts some incredible and different parties every week from the excellent fun filled "Carpet Burn" to the internationally respected and ground breaking Horse Meat Disco which is always packed and unpredictable with it's four residents delving into their respected endless disco collections every Sunday night with the crowd glued to the floor! Always a winner!
02: The Joiners Arms E2
One of East London's most popular hangouts always filled with East End Boy characters and features some excellent soundtracks from some of the city's finest Dj's including Paul Heron and Maximus Crown.
LONDON'S SUMMER RESTAURANTS:
01: THE OXO TOWER SE1
With it's incredible versatile menu, excellent wine list and a stunning outside terrace with one of the best restaurant views of the Thames and London in general - this really has to be London's ultimate eatery on a hot day in London and the food is as good as the view!
02: BIBENDUM SW3
London's probably most beautiful restaurant exterior simply can't fail to impress as the Michelin building houses the incredible BIBENDUM. Did you know that the Michelin man is also know as "Monsieur Bibendum"? My neighbour Stuart is good friends with Simon Hopkinson who was the Head Chef here for 7 years (and is still a director) and he has an amazing palate for exquisite food. Beautiful relaxed atmosphere and simply divine every time.
03: SLURP SW16
A fantastic and always reliable local restaurant on the High Street that fuses Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine with an exceptional range of delicious dishes - it never fails to impress and their squid is my favourite!
LONDON'S SUMMER DJ'S:
01: PAGANO
London's busiest Italian superstar never fails to deliver and is hectic busy in London every weekend but he schedule is so immense he normally plays in Europe every Saturday night and flies back each Sunday to spin back here! Always driving a new sound and breaking new ground - he has to be heard to be believed!
02: THE OLI
One of London's nicest guys both on and off the decks is forever a Dj to trust if you are dancing in a club he plays! So versatile and forward thinking THE OLI can cut up an enormous amount of genres with sophistication and ease which leaves you wondering how he does it! An incredible talent! Check him out on July 6th at his brand new residency RENDEVOUZ SOUTH at Union!
03: SMOKIN' JO
The leading lady of London House music always rocks the floor even after being in the business for over 2 decades - catch her if you can between her international diary bookings!
Summer Rites Head Of Promotions, Steven Sharp will be running the Main Dance Tent at Summer Rites: Pride In The Park 2013 on Saturday June 29th at Shoreditch Park, New North Road, Shoreditch, N1, from 2pm onwards.
