NEWS: Two New Prides In The UK For 2015

<p>With over sixty-five pride events taking place around the UK last year, it seems there’s no stopping the party as two more cities open their doors for 2015.</p> <p> </p><p><img src="http://www.thegayuk.com/communities/8/004/009/928/388/images/4612699974.jpg" width="460" height="202" alt="" title=""/></p> <p>This summer will see Coventry hold its first ever pride event and Portsmouth re-start the party after a 12 year absence. TheGayUK Magazine is proud to be media sponsors of both events and looks forward to celebrating with the communities. </p><p></p><p>Portsmouth Pride will take place on the 20th June 2015 starting with a street parade from Victoria park ending at the Guildhall Square where the party gets started. Themed, Pride In The City, it’ll be a day for the whole community to come together to celebrate diversity in their city. With local MPs and the Mayor in full support, it seems as though everyone’s pulling together for the event. </p><p></p><p>David Lee-Bastable, the chair of Portsmouth Pride says, </p><p></p><p>‘The aim of the Pride is to make it a fun day for all of the Portsmouth Community. Our key events are free, inclusive and family friendly. There will also be a family area, pamper area, youth area, trans area, amusements, and a range of food from around the world.</p><p></p><p>Coventry Pride are looking for volunteers to join the committee and also help out on the day.
