Okanagan Pride Festival draws visitors from throughout the Okanagan, British Columbia, Canada, and the United States.
Pride Week is August 9-16 and event dates are as follows. Please see below for information on tickets for individual events. Some events are free admission. The Ultimate Pride Ticket Package is also available online which includes the Pride Reception, Drag Competition, and Global Love Dance Party. Save $10 with the package only available until August 9th.
Queer Art Exhibit and Competition Opening – Alternator Gallery, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Artists come together to compete in an exhibit of queer art to depict the theme “Local Pride – Global Love”. One work will be selected to be the official piece of Okanagan Pride Festival 2014. This event is co-sponsored by the Alternator Gallery and Okanagan Pride Society. The official opening party will be held at the Alternator on August 9th. Free admission.

Spiritual Celebration – Kelowna Community Theatre, 10:30 AM
A unique event to Okanagan Pride, this will be our 3rd annual spiritual event as we celebrate diversity and equality in the Okanagan. The Spiritual Celebration is hosted by Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna with a special talk by Dr. Kenn Gordon honouring the theme of “Local Pride – Global Love”. Come out and join us on August 10, 10:30 am at Kelowna Community Theatre. Free admission.
Golf Tournament Fundraiser – Orchard Greens Golf Club, 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Whether you are a serious golfer or a wild swinger this event is for you. It is all about the fun, camaraderie and being out on the greens in the beautiful Okanagan sunshine. This event is being held at Orchard Greens and will be followed by dinner. Tee time 5:30 pm followed by an all you can eat barbeque dinner. Tickets available online.

Viva Las Pride – The Laurel Packing House, 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM
What better way to celebrate than with wine! This event features Vegas style ambiance and a couple dozen local wineries who will vie for your taste buds. This is the 2nd annual Viva Las Pride event and judging from the success and feedback last year you will need to get tickets early to avoid missing out! The event will be held at the Laurel Packing House and is in partnership with Okanagan Wine Festivals Society. More information and tickets here.

Pride Reception presented by HSBC – Manteo Resort Clubhouse, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
The Okanagan always has a warm welcome for our visitors. This event is designed for the locals to get together to kick-off the big Pride weekend and welcome out of town guests. Join us at the Manteo Resort Clubhouse for drinks, appies, and entertainment from 7 pm to 9 pm. Tickets are $15 and available in the Ultimate Pride Ticket Package until August 9th, or online at EventBrite.

Drag Competition Habitat, 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM
A perennial favorite, this is the 3rd annual drag competition of Okanagan Pride. Last year this sold out event crowned a drag king and drag queen from among nine participants. Look forward to a fabulous show and some fierce drag this year! Join us at Habitat – doors open at 8 pm, show starts at 9:00 PM. Tickets are $15 and available at Calowna Costume, Leo’s & Mosaic Books. Save $10 on the Ultimate Pride Ticket Package available online until August 9th.
Pride Rally & March – Stuart Park, 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM
This will be our 3rd annual Pride March and Flash Mob. This is a non-commercial event designed for everyone including our straight friends and allies. Dress up in your Pride colours and join in the march into the Festival. Youngsters are invited to work with their parents to create mini parade style Pride floats with their bicycles and wagons. The Pride march will commence with a flash mob at 11:30 am. Marshalling will occur at Stuart Park at 11:15 followed by a dance performance by LUKI Dance Productions at 11:30. The march will proceed from Stuart Park along the lakeshore walk to City Park, Jubilee Bowl to join the outdoor festival. Free admission.

Festival in the Park – Jubilee Bowl, City Park, 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Opening Ceremony, Pooches on Parade, Trade Fair, Entertainment, BBQ & Beer Garden)
This all day family friendly event is one of the big high-lights of Pride week. It is free to attend and everyone is welcome including all of our straight friends and allies. The festival will open when the Pride March arrives and after brief opening ceremonies the main stage will be non-stop entertainment until 4:30. The crowd favorite “Pooches on Parade” will be back again this year so folks get your pooches trained and their costumes made!
Paperboy will headline this year’s stage events hosted by well known performing artist Amy Bishop. Local bands Amistad and Bear Meets World will also be performing.
BBQ & Beer Garden – enjoy hot food and a cold beverage.
Vendor Fair – take time to wander through the Vendor Fair and check out what our great partners have to offer
Children’s Play Space – there will be a play for the kiddies to play

Global Love Dance Party – Level Club, 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM
Wrap up the week with the best dance party of the year! A spectacular show featuring Cosmic-Co-Motion, go-go girls, go-go boys and more will top off the night. Join us at Level Club for dancing and entertainment. Tickets are available as part of the Ultimate Pride Ticket Package for purchase online until August 9th. Individual tickets will be on sale soon.
