This year’s festival features one of our most diverse line-up ever including the premieres of new comedies and dramas from around globe. Retro classics, provocative documentaries, a campy horror flick…and our first transgender rom-com, too. Our opening weekend matinees are back, and we have some great community co-hosts who’ll be partnering with us this season.

What is your wisdom about aging in the LGBTQ community?
This year, the film festival puts together three stories about the search for sex, for love, even for wisdom — which continues throughout life. As important for the young as for those “of a certain age,” you too can share what it means to be “Older. Wiser. Smarter?”
When you watch a movie with a whole audience, your brains sync, even your eyes blink at the same time. It puts the unity in “community.” You should be #OutHereNowKC
Beauty, drama, comedy, unrequited love, pregnant bearded boys, Lesbians betting on seduction, elders looking for love…. Download your schedule today, or pick one up at the Tivoli! http://www.outherenow.com/

Do you like to talk about movies you’ve shared?
Sunday, June 28, we have a World Café … International films worth spending some time over, talking about, feeling deeply, and laughing heartily. From the haunting memory story in “How to Win at Checkers (Every Time)” to the frantic “YOU. ME. SEX. BATHROOM. NOW.” and from a classic lesbian play finally brought to the screen in “Liz in September” to the homophobia and secrets among Australian lifeguards of “Drown,” there is something for every taste.
We hope you’ll join us, and chat, and enjoy each others’ company. It’s a World of international delight. Be #OutHereNow
