Chapel of the Flowers is looking for an experienced manager to assist the current leadership team in overseeing and managing our photo and media department. The main focus is on working together to provide a world class wedding experience for each couple and ultimate customer satisfaction. These departments contribute to the photography and videography for our couples. Our wedding chapel is LGBT friendly.
Photo and Media Department Manager
The following is a list of job requirements and duties:
Manager Job Requirements:
-Passion for customer satisfaction, weddings, and building teams
-Knowledge and experience in business, supervision and management
-Knowledge of the functions, operation, and mission of Chapel of the Flowers
-Better than average written and spoken communication skills
-Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills
-Management experience in a team-oriented workplace, preferred
-Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team and team members
-Demonstrated knowledge of basic economic, budgeting, and accounting principles and practices
-Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the organization’s management team that provides leadership direction
-Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel
-General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and employee relations
-Evidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality
-Excellent organizational management skills
-Passion for photography, videography, and graphic design
List of basic duties:
- Department scheduling
- Field scheduling calls for last minute bookings/requests/adjustments/approvals
- Daily media run down
- Employee one on one development – creative training
- Disciplinary action/follow up
- Employee PEIs (personal employee interviews)
- Employee formal performance reviews
- Media team score cards – sales numbers for photography team
- Hiring/firing
- Equipment management
- Be able to jump in and shoot both primary/lifestyle and post process
- Manage/facilitate any graphic design projects
- Communicate with other Head of departments for interdepartmental issues
- Bi-weekly Head of department meetings
- Monthly media department meetings
- Manage/facilitate any graphic design projects
Education and Experience required:
-Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business related field
-A minimum of three years of responsible leadership experience in management or supervisory positions
-Specialized training in managing teams and team members, preferred
-Specialized training in photography and videography, preferred
This Position pays $40K-$60K, based on experience. Open schedule is required.
