Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will coordinate training and technical assistance projects for the National LGBT Health Education Center (Education Center) of the Division of Education and Training, The Fenway Institute, Fenway Health. The Education Center provides educational programs, resources, and consultation to health care organizations across the nation with the goal of optimizing quality, culturally-responsive and cost-effective health care for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people.
The Program Coordinator will plan and oversee the timely implementation of training and technical assistance programs, including but not limited to in-person trainings, webinars, technical assistance visits, and online assessments. Other primary duties will include writing and editing publications, reports, and training materials, as well as developing and delivering trainings to health care organizations on LGBT health topics. Applicants for this position must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Program Coordinator LGBT Health Education Center
- Minimum of either two years of related work experience or Master’s Degree in related field with relevant internship experience
- Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing
- Demonstrated presentation skills
- Demonstrated competency with PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to manage and follow through on projects in a timely fashion
- Strong interest in and basic knowledge of LGBT health
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize assigned duties
- Ability to work independently and in small groups
- Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals
