We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to work on a part-time basis as Coordinator at the LGBT Health Initiative in the Division of Gender, Sexuality, and Health. The project focuses on transgender identity development across the lifespan.

Project Manager Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene

The Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

• Oversees participant recruitment and retention
• Maintains up to date correspondence with the IRB
• Supervises study recruiters and interviewers
• Attends weekly LGBT Health Initiative meetings with Director and Co-director
• Performs related responsibilities as required
  

QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates must have a MA degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant research experience in a medical or social science research environment.

• In addition, the candidate must have the following experience or training:
• Education and training in a clinical discipline, such as psychology or social work
• Knowledge of and experience in working with members of the transgender community
• Experience coordinating multi-site research studies
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience with program coordination
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Current knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines
  

This position involves regular and substantial contact with children. The successful candidate will be screened through the New York State Central Child Abuse Register prior to assuming any duties that will involve contact with children. There is a $25.00 fee for this service which must be paid by the successful candidate.
