The purpose of this position is to support the Manager and Director in the development of promotions and partnerships that maximize awareness for Showtime and its programming in both the General Market and LGBT Community. The Supervisor plays a major role in departmental operations to help secure strategic partnerships with external brands, and to develop multi-platform marketing partnerships, to cost-efficiently enrich the company’s marketing relationship with priority target audiences. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- *50% – Promotions & Events* * *
- Aid in the development of multi-platform marketing promotions that utilize guerrilla, digital, media, grassroots and PR tactics to reach the general market.
- Support Manager and Director in the execution of events to generate added exposure and sampling of Original Series.
- Contribute to the development and authoring of presentations that articulate strategies and tactics to secure sign-off to activate campaigns. Opportunity to present this work to senior management and executives in collaborating departments.
- Collaborate with peers in related departments to aid cross-pollination of marketing efforts.
- Manage team calendar and partake in meetings with promotional agencies and internal departments.
- Research and brainstorm innovative strategies and tactics for promotional plans. Participate as a creative and vocal contributor in cross-functional brainstorming sessions.
- Stay abreast of television landscape and breakthrough promotions activity. Monitor trade publications and meet with industry experts to track the work of competitive networks.
30% – LGBT Marketing
Supervisor Promotions Showtime
- Support the Manager and Director in the establishment, execution, and maintenance of all marketing tactics and corporate sponsorships targeting the LGBT community.
- Stay abreast of the LGBT landscape by tracking all the latest research and developments; support the Manager and Director in crafting and implementing best practices for the company’s LGBT marketing strategy.
- Help manage LGBT creative rotation and traffic creative assets to organizations.
20% – Partnership Marketing
· Support Manager and Director in development and execution of promotions for strategic SNI partners. .
QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify, you must have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in marketing, advertising and/or promotions preferred
- Foundational understanding of marketing, advertising and promotional principles
- Exceptional communicator, including written, verbal, presentation and listening skills
- Team spirit, collaborative nature, strong work ethic, and computer proficiency
- Great attention to detail and comfort managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Passion for entertainment and Showtime programming
- Willing to travel and work on weekends with short notice for promotional stunts and events
