The winning entry will be: announced broadly, chosen for TAI’s 2012 spring internship (January 2012 – June 2012), and the selected individual(s) will be credited with the design – all of which assures general exposure to the creators of this outstanding work. In addition, the designer(s) will further receive a scholarship of $2,000 upon the launch of the fully interactive URL site.

Enter the most prestigious design competition for a leading national nonprofit organization. The AIDS Institute (TAI) is currently opening the 2011 Web Design Competition.
The winning entry will be: announced broadly, chosen for TAI’s 2012 spring internship (January 2012 – June 2012), and the selected individual(s) will be credited with the design – all of which assures general exposure to the creators of this outstanding work. In addition, the designer(s) will further receive a scholarship of $2,000 upon the launch of the fully interactive URL site.
(Remote work during the course of the 2012 spring internship is welcomed from any location.)
What to Enter:
We are looking for a fully-functional, innovative, web 2.0 design that:
* Has modern, state of the art skin and an interactive menu.
* Allows for easy navigation by users to research program content and data.
* Features an exciting and cutting-edge homepage, with our logo prominently featured.
* Includes a place for email signups, and social media integration (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
* Transitions our old website to a new, easy-to-use Content Management System for TAI staff to manage the webpage going forward.
* Can be set-up using a new host company in place of our old host.

Each designer must submit their written application to webdesign@theaidsinstitute.org by midnight ET on: Sunday – November 27, 2011. (Any entries submitted after then will be considered late and not accepted for this year’s competition.)

All applicants will be notified by November 28, 2011 if they have been selected for the competition phone interview. Phone Interviews will be conducted by a distinguished panel of 5 judges and will take place from November 28th to December 9th. All contestants will be notified of results by December 12, 2011.
