Deliciously funny and bittersweet, Kevin Elyot’s comedy captures the fragility of friendship, happiness and life itself.</p><p></p><p>On its premiere, My Night With Reg defined a moment in the lives of gay men and became an instant classic. Winning Evening Standard and Olivier awards, this classic play is ripe for this twentieth anniversary revival. The comedy is set in London’s gay community in the summer of 1985 against the backdrop of the mounting AIDS crisis. </p><p></p><p>Sadly, writer Kevin Elyot recently died and this new production at The Donmar looks set to be a fitting tribute to his genius.
