<p>I love a Christmas song. Whether it be the naff, the fab, or the political, I love them all. So I decided to write a top 10 list featuring my favourite Christmas songs of all time. The criteria for the list is that every song must have a reference to Christmas in it. That means there are no Spice Girls number ones and no appearance by East 17, but there are some absolute crackers here.</p>

<p>Mistletoe and Wine: It wouldn’t be a proper Christmas song countdown without a bit of Cliff featuring somewhere, so I’m kicking off the list with his 1988 number one Mistletoe and Wine. The video is great too, mainly for Cliff’s swinging arms dance. Work it, Cliff.</p><p></p><p>9. Band Aid</p>
<p></p><p>Do They Know It’s Christmas: Not to be confused with the 1989 or 2004 versions (or the new 2014 version), the original is the best.
