Gone are the days where three weeks before Christmas we'd buy our bumper issue of the TV Times to see what films were being shown on Christmas Day. Instead we now all wait for the release of the John Lewis Christmas Advert, better than any blockbuster film. Well wait no more...
WARNING: You may wish to grab a box of tissues for this one!

The advert follows a touching story of a boy who has a forlorn penguin called Monty, who feels lonely after seeing an assortment of heteronormative couples canoodling, because he doesn't have a significant other in his life. However as with all good John Lewis ads all comes good in the end on Christmas day.
Tom Odell provides the soundtrack for the advert, with a song called Real Lov, which is a re-hash song written by John Lennon. The John Lewis hasn't had a male voice since 2009, plumping for female stars such as Lily Allen in 2013. The last male contribution was that of The Guillemots' Fyfe Dangerfield who sang, She's Always A Woman.
