UK Author, Joey Jameson, Debuts Gay Erotic Thriller, “Candy From Strangers”

“I wanted to write something that was genuine and described what a real-life relationship is like between two gay men who quickly fall for one another,” Jameson said. “But at the same time I wanted to counteract that ‘butterfly feeling’ with the darker side of sex and relationships: that feeling of doubt that you experience when you first start to fall for someone and begin to question how well you know them.”

In addition, Jameson didn’t want to disappoint his readers when it came to the erotic themes in the book.  “Great sex needs to be explicit and use the right kind of wording,” Jameson adds. “There’s never any mention of ‘penis’ or ‘member’ or ‘genitals’ in my writing. You will, however find words like ‘cock’, ‘dick’, and ‘hole’, because in real-life sex that’s how people talk! As I said, sex needs to be relatable to the reader but still have elements of what people fantasize about. Keep it loud, steamy, and always leave them wanting more.”

In “Candy from Strangers,” Dylan, a 20-something English lad who’s successful, charming and beautiful, thinks he has everything, until one day his world is turned upside down when hot new neighbour, Darien, moves in across the road. The two begin a steamy affair that leaves Dylan breathless and thinking he may have finally found Mr. Right. But as time passes, cracks start to show in Darien’s story forcing Dylan to question everything he thought he knew about this dark
stranger.
