A 16-year-old was attacked in St. Enoch Square in Glasgow at 1:00AM on the 12th July, when she was verbally and physically assaulted by a man who approached her and a woman she was with. The teenager was with a 19-year-old woman at the time.
The victim was treated for a facial injury at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The man accused of assaulted her is described as being 20-years old, white, 6-foot tall with red hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt and carrying a black rucksack.
Supt Alan Porte, of Police Scotland, said: ‘Extensive inquiries are ongoing into this incident which is being treated as a homophobic crime.
“Officers are continuing to study CCTV footage in an effort to gather more information on the suspect.’
