Medical Doctor (HIV Specialist) NYC
Callen-Lorde is seeking an experienced, dedicated Medical Doctor or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing primary care services to a panel of diverse patients, many who are HIV positive. The HIV Medical Doctor/Nurse Practitioner will work at Callen-Lorde’s new satellite clinic, a state of the art Article 31 Mental Health facility. The Medical Doctor/Nurse Practitioner is responsible for screening, diagnoses and treatment of Callen-Lorde patients and for providing care in a sensitive and non-judgmental manner, and for making appropriate internal and external referrals.

To further this mission, Callen-Lorde promotes health education and wellness and advocates for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender health issues.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience:
1. New York State Certification/Licensure (MD, DO or NP)
2. Current New York State Registration (MD, DO or NP)
3. Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice. HIVMA or AAHIVM certification strongly preferred
4. 2 + years experience in HIV services, primary care, women’s health services, sexually transmitted infection screening, treatment, and education
5. DEA Controlled Substances Registration Certificate
6. Experience serving LGBT populations

5. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
