Jamie Dornan has reportedly been cast in the role for Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades Of Grey film due for release in 2014

Last year there was speculation that openly gay actor Matt Bomer might be in the running for the highly anticipated film adaptation of E L James’s 50 Shades Of Grey.
However, Jamie Dornan, 31, who is number 1 in our Hottest Irish Actors article, is the former beau of Keira Knightley and has gotten his kit off numerous times over the years as a Calvin Klein model.
He’s now moved into acting, with roles in Marie Antoinette and most notably starred in ABC’S Once Upon a Time.
When Bomer was announced as a potential for the role, American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis slammed the choice because of the actor’s sexuality, saying that it would be ‘absolutely ludicrous’ to give the role to Bomer.
‘Okay. Let’s finalise this. Matt Bomer is totally hot and a very good actor. He is NOT right for Christian Grey and it complicates the role,’ he posted on Twitter.
The author, who has admitted to having relationships with both men and women added: ‘I don’t care how good an actor you are but being married to another man complicates things for playing CG.’
He denied that his views were homophobic saying it was: ‘about an intensely straight actor wanting absolutely to screw Ana Steele.’
Ellis had expressed an inclination to adapt the novel into a screenplay, but confirmed that he was no longer in the running for the project.
