Building on the victory of the Supreme Court ruling granting same-sex couples the constitutional right to marry, Out & Equal Workplace Advocates, a nonprofit dedicated to achieving lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace equality, will address the next frontier in LGBT rights—workplace equality—alongside notable LGBT figures and multitude of Fortune 500 companies in the annual Workplace Summit held this year in Dallas. LGBT icons will deliver session speeches and entertainment for the anticipated 3,000 Out & Equal Workplace Summit attendees at the Hilton Antole Hotel Oct. 5-8.
“The wide range of industries and careers represented by the notable speakers and entertainers at this year’s Out & Equal Summit demonstrates the importance of global LGBT workplace equality,” said Out & Equal Founder and CEO Selisse Berry. “Regardless of the nature of work, all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees have the right to be authentic to themselves and therefore fully valued in their workplace, professional athletes and elected officials alike. I am thrilled to have 3,000 attendees join us from over 30 countries and nearly 600 Fortune 1,000 companies represented at the Out & Equal Workplace Summit.”

Writer Lisa Kron of Fun Home, winner of five 2015 Tony awards, will speak at the Gala Dinner Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 8 alongside Fun Home cast member Sydney Lucas, who will perform at the event. American politician, civil rights activist and first openly gay member of the U.S. Congress, Barney Frank, will join them earlier in the day with a coffee session.
