Pride Institute – Eden Prairie, MN Pride Institute, the nation’s first and leading provider of chemical dependency and mental health treatment services to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community, is seeking a PRN or part time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to become part of our team. Pride Institute operates Rule 31 Residential and Intensive Outpatient programs in both Eden Prairie and Minneapolis.
We provide integrated treatment services for adults (aged 18+) with chemical dependency, sexual compulsivity, and co-occurring disorders.
The Nurse Practitioner will be located at the Eden Prairie facility.
Nurse Practitioner PRN or Part Time
Responsibilities will include:
Provide mental health services to inpatient psychiatric patients, under direction of physician.
Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs
Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition
Discuss cases with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan
Participate in treatment team meetings for assigned patients
Additional Requirements include:
Psychiatry and/or Behavioral Health with substance abuse experience required
Ability to prescribe medications is desired but not required.
Job Requirements:
EDUCATION: Must have a Master’s Degree and possess licensure as a NP.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years experience in psychiatry and/or behavioral health. Substance Abuse experience required.
LICENSE: Must be a Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice in Minnesota.
