The Online Communications Manager will lead NCTE’s digital engagement program which includes overseeing NCTE’s online properties (email, website, blog and social media channels), and designing web graphics, publications and promotional materials. This person will also be responsible for executing innovative digital campaigns that support NCTE’s legislative, policy, public education, and fundraising priorities. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Online Communications Manager will have a significant role stewarding NCTE through a redesign of its website.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with the policy team to maintain content on NCTE’s website, blog, and social media streams (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google+).
- Maintain NCTE’s brand identity by designing a range of products including publications, marketing collateral, campaign graphics, and advertisements.
- Update and maintain records in NCTE’s CRM.
- Drive a creative email program that meets NCTE’s public education, advocacy, and fundraising goals.
- Work with the Director of Communications in developing strategic online-to-offline campaigns.
- Monitor and report on web and social media analytics.
Skills and Experience
- Adept digital storyteller with a proven ability to build power online.
- Extensive knowledge on Adobe Creative Suite programs like InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoShop.
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript or similar technologies.
- Excellent writing and editing skills for popular audiences.
- Understands web design and graphic design best practices.
- Commitment to full social justice and understanding of issues affecting transgender people.
- Three or more years of work experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience in managing website redesigns or data migrations is a plus.
- NCTE will consider applicants within a range of experience and education levels.

Salary and Benefits
Salary range for the Online Communications Manager is competitive for the non-profit sector and will be based in part upon a candidate’s experience and skills. NCTE offers a robust benefits package that includes fully-paid dental, vision and health insurance, pre-tax transit benefits, a flexible health spending account, and an IRA, in addition to federal holidays and ten paid vacation days in the first year of employment.
