Research Project Coordinator

Research Project CoordinatorHIV Project Coordinator: Will be involved in project implementation, affiliated site enrollment and site initiation of HIV screening, involvement in study design, exploring funding opportunities, enrolling appropriate patents, directing patient evaluation and management according to protocol, collecting data, and presenting results.

Unit Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in public health science (epidemiology, community science), social work, or related field preferred.

Unit Experience: Experience working with and/or providing care to LGBT populations, Black and Latino community members required. Previous work experience providing HIV/STI treatment and/or prevention required. Preparation/submission experience required.

Basic data analysis, manuscript and abstract experience preferred.
Previous work experience with Chicago Department of Public Health preferred.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Previous grant writing experience preferred.
Program management and/or development experience preferred.
Program monitoring and evaluation experience preferred.

Ability and/or willingness to provide HIV/STI treatment, education, and prevention in non-traditional settings (community venues)
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills
Ability to travel to various community venues across the metropolitan area
Ability to perform phlebotomy or a a willingness to be trained in phlebotomy.
