The Festival Of Words to Images enters its 8th edition with as much desire to help you discover new films and new places!

There are nearly 47 films on the themes of homosexuality and gender identity issues that are on offer.

This year, our programming is enriched by partnerships of the Polish Film Festival “Kinopolska” as well as the collaboration with CineLatino. We will present and films from Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, and a special screening of short films proposed by CineLatino.

For the first time this year, Des Images For Words raises his bags in La Chapelle and offers a short film evening and queer music videos on 26 January.

Programming is particularly eclectic. Films from around the world (France, Italy, USA, Venezuela, Argentina, Germany, the Netherlands … ..).

It offers both funny movies, moving and sharp, offering movies mostly retained in France and sometimes completely unprecedented in our country.

Among the movies playing : a big night 60 at the Cinémathèque (with Victim and Rumor) Hawaii at Cervantes, and all the gems of the Year: Tru Love, Las Ventanas abiertas, At first glance (selected to represent Brazil Oscar 2015) Not a word, Boy meets girl, The Circle (selected to represent Switzerland at the Oscars 2015) Not everything is so rosy, Appropriate behavior, BFFs (unpublished in France).

For the 2015 a new project was launched at the initiative of Brazilian director Ricky Mastro: a competition of short films! Under the theme “SACRED FAMILY! “We want to stimulate and promote local produce short documentaries that reflect the relationship between the” families “(in the broadest sense) and lives of LGBT people in the Midi-Pyrénées.

We also have the pleasure to present two exhibitions: the great pictures of Jana Asenbrennerova “Living Unnoticed” on the situation of LGBT people in Congo in the area of ​​diversity and secularism (honorable mention at World Press 2014), and that a film poster exhibition from the archives of the ABC cinema.

Finally, as every year, the festival will continue in different cities of Midi-Pyrénées February 11 to March 6 with 10 superb films.
