Austin Pride 2015
The PRIDE Festival is the LARGEST annual LGBTQ advocacy and fundraising event in Central Texas! Dozens of non-profit organizations and social clubs use the Festival as a platform to inform and interact with the thousands of attendees. Each year, countless people find new organizations to join, causes to support, and opportunities to volunteer. We are also proud knowing that the Austin PRIDE Festival is Central Texas’ single largest HIV testing day of the year enabling several local HIV-related service organizations to reach populations they may otherwise not reach!
In addition, since 2011, the Austin Gay and Lesbian PRIDE Foundation (AGLPF) has also been able to donate over $75,000 of excess Festival proceeds to various non-profit organizations and causes through the Austin PRIDE Cares program.
The Festival features two Entertainment areas: the Main Stage & East Stage showcasing an amazing lineup of musical artists and pop culture icons! The Festival also includes inflatable games and activities for people of all ages, photo booths, face painting, drinks, food, and over 140 vendor booths featuring non-profits & products from local businesses that support the LGBTQ community!
The Austin Gay and Lesbian Pride Foundation (AGLPF) formed the Austin PRIDE Cares program in 2011 to further its mission to educate, resource, and connect the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community in Austin, Texas. A component of the program includes the board evaluating its financials annually, and, if practicable, donating surplus Austin PRIDE celebration proceeds back into the community.
Since its inception, the Austin PRIDE Cares program has donated over $75,000 to various non-profit organizations and causes! g support, these donations would not be possible!
