Canvass Operations Assistant HRC

(GayWebSource.com - Gay News & Press Network) - Posted by SeasonsofPride.com Human Rights CampaignWashington, DC

The Human Rights Campaign is able to do the work it does because of the support and commitment of its members. Without a strong membership base and a continual flow of new supporters, HRC wouldn’t be the effective civil rights organization that it is today. The largest source of these new members is our canvass program. We literally canvass the streets and neighborhoods of cities around the country to identify people willing to lend their voice and their dollars to the fight for equality.

The Canvass Operations Assistant will contribute to this incredibly important acquisition source of both one-time and monthly donors. The assistant position helps coordinate many of the operational aspects for the canvass program but does not do actual canvassing. The assistant’s projects will contribute to the oversight of income, expenses, and materials administration for the canvass program. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Canvass Operations and be a part of the larger, Direct Response & Monthly Giving Team.
