Community Development Coordinator
Attend monthly Consortium meetings, Collection of data including: CFI, Community Surveys, online surveys and Bar Climate Survey.
Collect baseline and post data from bars/restaurants utilizing the Bar Climate Survey. Engage bars/restaurants to become involved with the SAFE Out program by being in compliance (based on the Bar Climate Survey) and distributing PISM materials. Train engaged bars/restaurants on RBST. Conduct outreach activities to local LGBT clubs at institutions of higher learning. Deliver RBST training to local bars/restaurants, Coordinate recognition program for compliant/engaged bars/restaurants. Conduct outreach activities at local community events targeting the LGBT community. Maintain records and sign-in sheets. Document and report daily, weekly, monthly activities per contractual requirements Minimum Requirements . Must complete required training to include but not limited to Introduction to Effective Prevention Skills, Introduction to Cultural Competency Advanced Cultural Competency Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) and relevant webinar trainings located on Arizona Department of Health Services website located at: http://www.azdhs.gov/bhs/pdf/LGBTQSeriesRecordings.pdf . Identify, recruit, and support targeted demographic of prevention programs using appropriate evidence based curricula.- 21 years of age or older.
- BHT or able to meet requirement with a combination of education and prevention work experience.
- Knowledge of science-based prevention models including the risk and protective factors and the community mobilization framework.
- Experience in working with high risk youth populations and diverse community members.
- Knowledge of behavioral health managed care principles and practices. .
- Valid Arizona Driver’s license in good standing.
- CPR/First Aid Certified.
- Ability to interact well verbally to the general public by portraying critical thinking and communicating a positive attitude.
- Flexibility and ability to work evenings and weekends if the Program Manager deems it necessary to achieve the objectives of the program.
- Willing to work with all cultures and sub-cultures that comprise the population of Arizona in a non-judgmental and value clear manner.
