Fancy going to Manchester Pride this year? Well Manchester Pride is freezing it's ticket to the 2013 price

by Newsdesk | 27th January 2014

From Friday (31 January) The Uk’s leading lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) festival; Manchester Pride, will offer Big Weekend tickets for just £16 for the whole four-day weekend, the same rate as the 2013 early-bird tickets, until Friday 28 February when the price of the ticket will be increased to £20.

Now in its 24th year, Manchester’s annual LGBT Pride Festival consists of four elements: Pride Fringe; The Big Weekend; The Manchester Pride Parade; and The George House Trust Candlelit Vigil.

Running throughout August, the Pride Fringe will present a colourful programme of arts, music, heritage, culture and debate, with around 40 events taking place, the majority of which are free to attend.

The August Bank Holiday sees the return of The Big Weekend; a four-day celebration in the heart of Manchester’s Gay Village. From 22 – 25 August, visitors will be treated to a programme of live entertainment across three arenas, along with community exhibition areas and village markets. Tickets will be on sale from 9am on Friday 31 January from the Manchester Pride website - manchesterpride.com.

The vibrant Manchester Pride Parade will again weave its way through the city centre on Saturday 23 August from 1pm. The celebrations close with the George House Trust HIV Candlelit Vigil in Sackville Gardens on Monday 25 August at 9.15pm.

Director of Manchester Pride, Mark Fletcher said: “We’re really pleased to be able to offer Big Weekend tickets for sale as early as January this year and to offer them at last years lowest price. We’re looking forward to another successful programme of activities for Manchester Pride 2014 and urge visitors not to miss out on this special price, undoubtedly a great rate for our iconic four day celebration of LGBT life.”
